Responsible for washing, cleaning, restocking, general cleanliness and daily upkeep of dish tanks and work areas, all while maintaining the highest standards of quality and sanitation.

Duties and Responsibilities:

· Operate industrial dishwasher and other equipment safely and in line with best-use practices for each piece of equipment.

· Wash glassware and other implements by hand when necessary.

· Empty and clean all trash receptacles.

· Clean iced tea, coffee, and soda machines daily.

· Rotate dishes to reduce wear and tear on resources.

· Clean dish storage.

· Provide assistance to prep cook and other kitchen staff as needed, especially during peak times.

· Perform opening, closing and side work.

· Clean up spills or broken glassware immediately.

· Follow sanitation policies at all times, and report any sanitation or janitorial issues to the appropriate party.

· Follow proper food handling and safety protocol.

· Maintain knowledge of and perform all safety and sanitation procedures.

· Perform additional duties as requested by managers or supervisors.

Requirements and Qualifications:

· High School diploma or GED preferred.

· High volume dish washing experience preferred, but not required.

· Ability to operate industrial machinery.

· Ability to communicate clearly and with mutual respect with supervisors and fellow employees.

· Ability to arrive at work on time as scheduled.

· Availability to work weekends and holidays.

· Must be comfortable and confident working in a fast-paced environment.

· Be able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 50 pounds.

· Must be able to balance and carry multiple items.

· Must be able to stand, walk, lift, and bend for long periods of time.

· Ability to work in hot, humid environment.
